Mengo Hospital Eye Department was established in 1989 and is run as a partnership between Mengo Hospital and CBMIN (Cristoffel Blinden Mission International)

SERVICES OFFERED
1. Out Patient Clinic - runs from Monday to Friday. Registration is 8:00am - 3:00pm

Diagnosis and treatment of common eye diseases.

Laser treatment Diabetic retinal complications and other retinal diseases.

Laser treatment for Lenticular Capsule fibrosis and glaucoma.
2. Optical Department - Provides all types of spectacles and contact lenses
3. Eye Drop Production Unit - Provides good quality eye medicine for the clients.
4. Eye Theatre - Open from Monday to Friday providing a broad spectrum of operations such as surgery for cataracts, glaucoma, eye injuries and many others.
5. A low vision clinic - run on appiontment.
6. Outreach Services - to places where access to eye care services is poor.
