CHILDREN’S ORTHOPAEDIC REHABILITATION UNIT (CORU) Mengo Hospital – CBM International 1. PROFILE CORU (Children’s Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Unit) is one of the departments of Mengo Hospital working in the field of paediatric orthopaedics. The main focus of the unit is children with physical disabilities. Through its outreach programme, children from different parts of Uganda are seen and, where necessary, treated as well. The unit is supported by the Christian Blind Missions International (CBM-I through funding of staff, surgical and non-surgical procedures, equipment and facilities. The children treated through CBM-I are also financially supported in their treatment.
2. STAFF MEMBERS CORU is a well-established unit with staff members that are dedicated to their work. There is a good teamwork amongst the staff.
