Mengo Hospital is a Christian based, 300
bed NGO Health care complex, invites applications from suitably qualified
persons to fill the following existing vacancy;
Position: Principal Nursing Officer
Reports to :Medical Director
Duties and responsibilities
(i)Heads the nursing department
(ii)Oversees the planning and
administration of nursing services
(iii)Ensures proper implementation
of nursing procedures
(iv)Manages the nursing staff.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
ØMust be an experienced double trained registered Nurse
ØShould have a diploma in nursing administration or a diploma in
Health Service Management or its equivalent
ØA Bachelors degree in Nursing degree from a recognized institution
or its equivalent will be an added advantage.
ØMust have served for at least eight (8) years as a Health Worker,
three (3) of which must have been at Senior Nursing Officer level.
ØMust be a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Uganda.
ØShould have HR management skills including counseling, communication
and interpersonal skills.
ØMust be assertive with ability to control, coach and develop
subordinates.
Age: 35 - 55 years

Position: Human Resource Officer
Reports to: Human
Resource Manager
Duties and Responsilities:
Putting into effect and
monitoring HR policies and procedures, and ensuring that linemanagers, supervisors and staff are informed
of these, grievance handling, ward/shop floor monitoring and supervision, staff
discipline and effecting communication between Management and staff.
Minimum
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelors
Degree in Social sciences, Business Administration, Commerce or Public
Administration plus a postgraduate qualification in Management.
Must be computer
literate in MS office programs.
At least three
(3) years’ working experience in managing HR preferably in an operations work
context.
